Senior Consultant/Manager

Illustrious career in high profile positions ranging from programmer, manager to current VP assistant position. A multinational company my assignments included local and international projects that have saved or reduced cost in excess of several hundreds of millions of dollars.
Accountable for software development of a unique
integration customer solution that resulted in corporate savings and increased revenue for IBM and received several division awards for my design and efforts. Spent several assignments in the IBM Global Services organization with direct contact with customers and service solutions responsibility. Steadily promoted from a programming Advisory position, to Senior Programmer Development Manager, IT Architect, to Manager Consultant positions. Assigned to various divisions both in a development role and corporate capacity including working at the CIO level both at division and corporate.
Assess need to develop new information processing
systems and improve existing program designs.
Successfully interfaced corporate offices and off-site
locations (locally and internationally) to align strategies and achieve goals. Lead Process Improvement Teams to improve software and MIS processes and procedures.
Overall have managed both directly or indirectly teams of 100 or more personnel. Managed a development team while at the same time providing technical design guidance for the team objectives. While holding a full time position continued with education and received advanced degrees attending evening sessions.
Prior to IBM spent several years in various positions as an operator, programmer, manager and technical support specialist all in the Data Processing / Computer departments. The industries include education, manufacturing, and retail.

SELECTED HIGHLIGHTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

* Played key role in driving information systems and
deployment across the IBM corporation saving millions of dollars in expenses, cost reductions and productivity improvements.
* Designed and developed a customized order
processing system for IBM customers to order software
products - pre-loaded and pre-tested. Resulted in increased multi-million dollar revenues for IBM and several division awards. The focus was on custom order for selected operating systems and software (VM, VSE and MVS) as well as Computer Aided Design (CADAM) systems and applications.
* Provided guidance and direction, staffing and
executive direction to reduce overall services center costs. Resulting in millions of dollars of savings as a direct result of consolidations, process improvements, cost reductions (real estate, work load balancing, outsourcing, etc.).
* Developed and implemented many MIS systems to
improve management reporting and providing timely
information for IBM senior executives. This resulted in improved management decisions, cost savings in the
millions and customer satisfaction.
* Facilitated a revenue stream of multi-millions of
dollars as a result of many customer contracts and
engagements to provide total outsourcing solutions.
* Facilitated the Data Warehousing strategy for
"consolidating islands of information" controlled
centralized and distributed data repository and subject matter data marts, utilizing EDI and custom built applications with SQL/DS. This resulted in significant corporate savings in terms of reduced cost, infrastructure,
and improved information access and deci8sion support.
* Prior to IBM operated data processing equipment
and eventually trained as a programmer. Developed
applications for various corporations in several industries. Eventually moved into support and management.
